What do you have, that's just for you?
What do you have, that’s just for you? This is the question we must ask ourselves to balance out the parts of us that are goal-driven or engaging in activities with an agenda.
What are you denying?
What are you denying? When we over-focus on the things that are wrong or bad, we end up not putting our attention on the good. That becomes a form of denying the good.
Be an adult
This is the part where we get to let everyone do something really radical: be an adult. It’s not your responsibility to change them or get them to tell the truth. Repeat after me: Not. Your. Responsibility. Be an adult. (And let them choose whether or not to act like an adult, too).
Check it out, let it go
Stories are those beliefs that we assume as fact--that the world is or isn’t this way, or that so-and-so really meant this when she said that...and everything is a Story. My new mantra around Stories is this: “Check it out, and let it go.”
