Watch what you make it mean
As we go out into the world and encounter other people, it’s helpful to remember to watch what you make it mean (meaning: be aware that you are the one applying the interpretation). As we navigate challenges and difficulties, we can’t be in control of what’s happening “out there,” but we have absolute autonomy over our intentions, where we place our attention, and whether we react vs respond. This is a profound moment to “choose who you want to be.” So, who do you want to be? And how can this moment, right now, be your training ground?
Stress relief
It’s time for some stress relief (because I know that we’re all feeling it, right now). As a departure from my usual podcast content, in today’s podcast I’m offering a guided meditation for stress relief (and if you want more where this came from, check out the Simple Habit app, where I’m a meditation teacher and offer an entire library of different meditations). Find some space where you can slow down for about 20 minutes, and just sink into knowing that somehow, we’re going to make it through this.
Navigating an uncertain world
Feeling fear or anxiety about the news headlines? Feeling frustrated by others who get anxious or fearful in response to the news headlines? This podcast episode is here to help as we talk about navigating an uncertain world and the tools and processes you can use to manage the feelings that come up.
Learning to love yourself
Learning to love yourself isn’t about trying to reach perfection, nor is it about abandoning all attempts to improve your life. You can absolutely want to change or improve your life in some way, without that being an indication that you don’t fundamentally love yourself. And, you also don’t need to wait until those changes are made, before you can learn to love yourself. Today’s podcast episode breaks down the often tricky nuances that go along with learning to love ourselves, and especially moving out of a right/wrong binary around self-love so that we can step into something greater.
