So many of us talk about compassion and love and acceptance, and then those world views don’t always play out in our day-to-day choices. We get to choose this--to take this work on with a singular focus, to let it inform our words, actions, the Stories we tell. And of course, this work starts within--it starts with you making the most courageous choice you'll ever make to love and trust in your own inherent goodness, and treat yourself with that level of kindness and care.

Regardless of where you are, today, think of the last time you felt particularly lost and broken. Consider: she won the battle, last time. She climbed through. She survived. She figured out what land looked on the other side of a seemingly endless ocean of hurt or pain.

Working for yourself isn't easy and honey, there's just no shame in having health insurance. But it is courageous.

I am super self-conscious about being photographed, so there was more than a moment of hesitation. But I had so. much. fun. on this day with In Her Image. It is only after having done the shoot that I see something else--a more outward expression of who I am.
